Hi, I posted on the movie factory board becuase i didn't know if my pictureshow 4 could do what I needed. Now reading through this board I might be able to get help here.
My husband is going to Iraq and I want to send him home movies of our daughter and video messages along with photos. Will pictureshow 4 support this and will it accept videos from my camcorder

Yes, PictureShow 4 has those capabilities with some limitations.
1) Videos and photos can't be intermixed at random in the same show however you can select the option "First Play Video" which means that your video clip will play first, followed by the photo segment. Or you can create separate video and photo shows and burn them to a single DVD. In this case, each show can be individually accessed from the main menu during playback. If desired, you can select the "Continue To Play The Next Clip" option before burning the disc. This option will play all of your shows in one go rather than take you back to the menu after each show.
2) You will need a capture device to import your camcorder videos to your hard drive. This is an internal device (PCI capture card) or external device (USB capture box) that allows you to attach your camcorder to your computer and create an MPEG movie file. Once this has been done you simply import the movie file to PictureShow 4.
