Menu Help for VS10+ How can this be?

Post by plutox989 »

Okay so this is pretty astonishing for me. For some reason I cannot figure out a way to change the picture in the DVD Menu Select that is identified in the screenshot below:

Why won't it let me change it to something that more shows what the movie is? What if people have clips that start with a fade from black...will it just be black there? I can't find a way to change it...any suggestions?

if that wasn't clear enough, I basically want to change the starting point of the motion menu and thus change the starting picture that is located within that red square...NOT the very beginning of the video....can anyone help?

Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible using a Smart Scene menu. With a thumbnail menu, you can simply double click on a thumbnail to change it's display/starting position. As far as I can tell the smart scene menus don't have the same option. Try using a thumbnail menu instead and see how you go.

peace.

You should be able to change the thumbnail, even on the Smartscene menu.
After you have inserted your video clip, drag the jog bar to the location where you want to use as a thumbnail. Then right-click on the clip in the timline, and select Change Thumbnail.
