DVD menu - VS 10

Is there a better explanation/tutorial for creating DVD menus than provided in the PDF file? I would like a motion clip as the background and am OK with it looping (as the max length is 20 sec), but when it loops, my background music track (4 min+) starts over as well. Is there a way to prevent this? Also, when a chapter/video is hovered over the background music starts over again too. I love the video editing features, but I can't seem to create a decent DVD menu. Any ideas?
