Dv Recording back to camera VS 10+

Here things go again... Did a search and came up empty...

I have been sucessfully making Video files that I have been recording back to may Panasonic PV-GS29 to amke archive mini DV tapes using the DV recording option in share on VS 10+ This morning it worked this afternoon after doing nothing other than check my email went to do another take and Ulead tells me:
"Recording failed due to one of follwoing reasons
-Tape write protected
-The camcorder does not include recording feature"

I double checked and the tape was not wrtie protected... even tried two other new Panasonic DVM63 tapes from two sepate batches.... Don't think it is the tape

I spent 2 hours talking with panasonic tech support thinking it was the camera they went thru a bunch of stuff they feel that it is the video editing software... now I have totally uninstalled and reinstalled VS10+, rebooted the computer. and I still get the same responce.

The only other thing I can think of is it is something to do with the canpus ADVC-300 that I have between the camera and the computer. I don't touch anything on the canopus except to toggle between digital and analog for putting video in.

Anyother suggestions to try or is it that this system is out to make me crazy? Always something.
