VS10 Trial - No Full Video In Timeline Section

Post by Guapo »

I have been using VideoStudio 6 for several years now. When I insert a video clip into the timeline, in timeline mode I can see the full video frame by frame.

I downloaded VS10 trial and installed it. When I insert a video clip into the timeline mode with VS10, all I get is the thumnail and file name in the timeline mode, followed by a black strip. I can not see the video clip frame by frame. Under preferences I have the option of either "thumbnail and file name" or "file name only" for the timeline.

I've read the user manual. It gives examples of the timeline and shows the full video clip, frame by frame in the timeline mode.

Am I missing something here, or do I have to purchase the full program before I can use all the features?

If I can't view and work on individual frames from the timeline, it severely limits editing for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

You can go to File > Preferences and find the setting for what you see in Timeline.

What you have (Thumbnail and file name) is one option. Change it.

Kebrinton,

I did. I only have three options. They are: "thumbnail only", "file name only", and "thumbnail and file name".

I'm beginning to suspect I have a problem with my video card, but everything else in the VS10 trial program works fine.
