Hi,
Perform a search of the forum on importing for more information.
Depending on what type of disk you recorded onto dvd-rw or dvd-r
and the mode (-VR?). You usually have to finalize the dvd in the recorder.
Then you can IMPORT the dvd into VS by taking the dvd out of the
camcorder and putting it into your dvd reader.
VS calls it the VR plug-in.
No need to connect a cable to the computer.
Hope this helps,
MD

If you did a search as suggested by MD you would have found this information :-
First put your disc in the DVD drive of your PC then in Ulead VideoStudio8...
1.Clik on the small round folder icon you find down in the bottom left corner of the VideoStudio 'Edit' screen.
2. Choose "Import DVD/DVD-VR..."
3. Browse to the Video_TS or the DVD_RTAV folder on the disc and hit the OK button.
4. VideoStudio will now load the movie into the Timeline.

It's probably recorded in AC3, you'll need the AC3 (Dolby Digital) plug-in. http://www.ulead.com/store/vs/runme.htm#plugin
