I downloaded and install the trial version of “Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus” a few days ago and I like the program so much I bought the boxed version from CompUSA today. Do I need to uninstall the trial version before installing my new boxed version - and if so how do I uninstall the trial version?

Very definitely you have to uninstall the trial version: a lot of people have reported problems in trying to install the full version over the trial. I confess that I have never used the trial version. But I am assuming that it installs and uninstalls like other programs. So go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, and scroll down to Ulead Video Studio 10 (Trial) or however it might be described, and hit the Change/Remove button.

Similar situation
Have VS9, upgrading to full boxed version of VS10+ (took advantage of free ship on PI11 and VS10+) and of course will uninstall trial of VS10+ that I downloaded last week. Was considering MS8, but with VS10+ chaper and cue points (a big motivator for me) and multiple video tracks, I decided to go with the simpler interface of VS10+ (I am a casual user). So I will completely delete, uninstall VS10+, but will 9 remaining for archival use of libraries in future perhaps..be an issue?

Hi tommytucker,
The experience on this board has shown that the right thing to do with the TRIAL version is uninstall prior to installing a FULL version. However full versions of VS 7,8,9 and 10 seem to co-exist quite happily on the one machine without any conflicts or problems.
What has been noticed is that SOMETIMES uninstalling an earlier version can disrupt the later version requiring a "repair" or re-install of that later version.
E.g. When uninstalling full version 8 AFTER having installed full version 9 it is usually necessary to run the repair function or re-install 9 because uninstaling 8 removed shared resources. I am not sure about the same scenario for version 9 and 10+ or version 8 and 10+ etc..
