Video Studio 9 - DVD burning problem

I have sucessfully burnt a production to a DVD +RW but when I try to burn to a DVD-R it fails and says that it has not been copied and I should try again.

Any ideas??

First try a different brand of DVD-R Disk.

And also confirm your burner can handle -R discs. Some earlier burners would only burn +R/+RW and not -R; or vice versa. More modern burners, of course, tend to accept both formats...
