Post by Miller »

I have sucessfully burnt a production to a DVD +RW but when I try to burn to a DVD-R it fails and says that it has not been copied and I should try again.

Any ideas??

Hi Miller,

First when you have issues with a specific product, like VS 9, you stand a better chance of having a fast response if you post in the appropriate forum.

Now in regard to your problem, it would seem that since you are able to burn to a DVD+RW, there may be a problem with:
  1. Your burner. Without knowing what make and model your using it is difficult to tell. Some burners have problems with certain brands of media. Is the firmware for your burner up to date? You may want to Google for the website of the manufacturer and check for updates.
  2. The media (discs) may be bad. There are members here that have bought entire spindles of discs that were bad, and having 1 or 2 bad ones in a spindle of lower quality is very possible.
  3. Have you installed all the updates, patches and fixes for VS9? If not here is a link to Ulead's website for those. CLICK HERE
In order to help you more we may need more information. Please read the following :

Also please complete your system information in your profile. This will help us in troubleshooting your problems now, and in the future this information will already be available, so you will not have to re-type it.
