Hello everyone. As above, it works. I went to the Ulead web page and accidentally found this entry concerning Windows XP SP2.
"Click on VS9 icon on desktop and nothing happens!"
Answer;
It is a Data Exclusion Prevention issue in SP2, do the following. Go to Start-Control Panel-Performance and Maintenance-System-Advanced-Performance Settings-Advanced-turn on DEP-click Add-go to C:/program files/Ulead Systems/VS9/vstudio.exe. click "open" in window. click OK in any open windows. Restart your computer.
I did this, and the @#$% thing now works!!
I'm posting this so that if any other doofus like me has the same problem they can use this to fix it.
