Importing from memory card
If I try and import movie clips frommy memory card I can only import 1 clip at a time which is a nuisance . Also I cant then work on the clips unless I leave the card in. I have tried inserting to media library and fine the thumbnails are ther but if you remove the card you cant accessss them . Is ther a method by which i have to save them first?

Hi Jaymac,
Do you use a card reader to access your memory card(s)?
I would copy the movieclip files to my hard drive, then import them into VS. A memory card is considered a removable device to Windows. You could access it by going to My Computer. It will appear like another drive.
For example built into my HP system is a multi-bay card reader drive. It has 6 ports. Each port is reflected as a different drive. When I place a memory card in one of the slots, it shows the name of the card under My Computer. I can then double-click on the respective drive to access it.

Thanks Vido man I appreciate I could do it that way yes I have a card reader built into printer. I just though thats a clumsy way when premiere elements willl take in a whole batch straight from the reader.I keep reading ulead is more user friendly I dont think having to do that is.
Thanks all the same
