What is the best way to make a widescreen clip Pan&Scan?

I tried doing it and it keeps zooming in. How do I stop that?

First in what program? I know you posted this in the VS forum, however it is not uncommon for questions to be posted in the wrong forums. Next are you wanting this effect on still images or video?

Read This Thread, it provides a guideline to the specific information needed to help you.

Now I'm guessing that you are using one of Ulead's video editing programs. With VS9 with a video clip and using the Pan and Zoom filter, click on Customize. Then simply set the first and last key frame Zoom to the same amount. It should pan across without zooming. For images you click on the Pan and Zoom under the Resampling Option on the Image tab. Click on Customize. You can have a Start, Middle and End. For the Start and End set the Zoom to the same amount.

VS10 The filter for video works the same as with VS9. For images after clicking the Pan and Zoom radial button, select customize, then using key frames you can set the zoom amount, at any given time in the timeline for the image.
