error message with gif animator

i paid for this programme and every time i open it up to start using it i get the same error message ive posted the troubles here for you to view and hopefully someone from here can help me

This is a well known, standard Windows message, people get with all sorts of programs. When Windows doesn't know the reason for the problem (it never does) it spits out this nonsensical message.

Check your memory for errors, make sure your HDD is defragmented and there is enough free space in the location of your temp files.

I had the very same error message yesterday with PI 11. After I applied the SP1 patch to it, this error went away.

ive sone several re-starts and turned firewall off and then also viral check
i will try the defrag
and also i may try to see what happens when i install it on my laptop

Judging from the screen shots in your post at Community Feedback, it looks to be the infamous Video Codec problem.

You can either try the solution stickied at the top of this forum:

OR....

In Windows, click Start, then Run.

Type "regsvr32 /U 3ivxDSEncoder.ax" (without the quotes) and click OK to unregister that offending codec.
