Manage Profiles in VideoStudio 7

Post by The1Reaper »

I need to setup a custom profile for the videos I'm going to be exporting and sharing using VideoStudio 7 but I can't find the "Manage Profiles" screen anywhere in VideoStudio 7, I've look high and low throughout and don't know exactly where it is (I'm still a bit new to the program). Someone point me in the right direction or tell me how to set up a custom profile, that would be great.

I haven't used Version 7 for quite some time and would have to hunt through various hard drives in my desk to locate it. In version 9 and 10+ you use
Tools | Make Movie Manager found in area 2 of the following screenshot taken from version 10+

It's not called a profile but a [movie] template. My memory of VS7 is a bit hazy, but the sub-program you are after is called Make Movie Manager and, in more recent versions, is under Tools -- not under the main tabs of the program (Capture, Edit etc) but up with File in the top corner -- if memory serves, in VS 7 it is in the top right corner...

Anyway, click on Make Movie Manager and select New. It will allow you to choose either Microsoft AVI or MPEG as the main formats (plus possibly some others). Choose which one you want, give it a meaningful name, and a new small box will appear with 3 tabs: for AVI, these will be headed Ulead Video Studio, General and AVI, and for mpeg, the third will be headed Compression. You set the various parameters in tabs 2 and 3.

After you have saved everything, a template with that name will appear when you select Share > Create Video File, down towards the bottom of the list and above 'Custom'.
