wheres my date and time gone?

Post by toof »

Just noticed that unlike on my old analogue camcorder the uploaded dv does not show the date and time that i took the video. how can i get this back? this comes in handy having the date as it shows when the video was taken

Use the menu on your cam to set what's displayed i.e what's captured.

the information is embedded in the dv stream. if you only have a couple to do, then you could use a utility to show the date/time -- look here at the dv tools that can do it:

I believe MSP 7.02 will now show the timecode (have to apply the recent patch). I'm not sure if VS8 will do it as well???

Coalman, you must be drinking too much Yuengling! As stated above, it is embedded in the video stream and will not appear once captured.
