Error 340 in VS 9

Post by skiman123321 »

I am using Windows ME for an operating system. While I can successfully burn small DVD programs (less than five minutes or so), any project longer results in an error. Rendering seems to go fine until the program tries to burn the disk. Then I get a dialog box simply saying (340). I click on OK, then get an error message that says: Internal Error 0x0000FFF, Report ID 0x800040154(340). I don’t know what the problem may be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using ME, it is likely that your filing system uses FAT32 and not NTFS. If so, then you are limited to files which are less than 4 GB in size. Given that you are filling a DVD, it is highly likely that you're exceeding this limit and the program returns an error. Be aware that it is not a limitation imposed by Video Studio but by your operating system.
