Copied Text object from a Cool 3D 3.0 project to Cool 3D PS

Hello,
I finally got to upgrade to 3D PS. Now I copied the text from a project I created in 3.0, and I can't get rid of the moving path. I can change it to anything else under Motion Path, but when I delete the path, it goes back to the way it copied over. I even went to Edit-Remove All - Key Frames and Object Properties and it won't go away. Is there a way to make it just set there? I used the copy because I'm not totally sure what settings (bevel & color) I used to create the text and I want it to be exact. Any idea how I can do this easily?
