Error Code - Invalid Handle???? Any Ideas?

I just upgraded from VS9 to 10+ and now when I open my projects I get an "Invalid Handle" error pop-up that has to clicked away about 6 times to clear it then half the time the program locks up and has to be restarted. Any ideas what it could be? I searched the forum and couldnt find any solutions. Nothing since the upgrade has changed on my system.

Sorry Ed I realise this is an unpopular answer but I think your first course of action is the dreaded Re-installation procedure

Are you perhaps trying to open a VS 9 project in VS 10? Not sure if it would have any bearing but swapping applications mid stream is not a recommended action.
