burning complete but no playback

Burning on a Toshiba Satellite
I edit a vsp project render it by saving as a video file, that turns to a mpg file I then go into new project, create disc add video which I then import the mpg (shown with a windows media player icon) file, then I begin the burning process. It eventually pops up and says that the disc burning was sucessful, yet on my standard dvd player, it goes thru the "loading" status then says "no disc" I have tried this several times. I have sucessfully burned dvds exactly this way before and have viewed them on the same player. Any advice???

Yes.... stop burning at maximum speed and stick to 4x or less.

If its not speed then you probably have a faulty disc
