File Recovery
Hope someone can help me...
Is there anyway to recover a .ufo file that crashes my program everytime it tries to open? I have spent a lot of time working on this image and saved often
(that didn't help I guess). I have had Ulead for awhile and never had this problem before (version 7). I don't have any problem opening my other .ufo files. If anybody knows anything that may work, please let me know!!!

On occassion, Ulead will save a file in a strange file extension *.###. Check to see if this has happened to your file, and if so then change the extension back to *.UFO and it should open.
At present most file recovery companies no longer support .UFO recovery. If the file will not open, more than likely the File Header is damaged. If this is the case you should start creation of a new file.
You might contact Ulead Tech Support and see if they know of any other options as I do not.

Re: File Recovery
I know this is little consolation and does nothing to help in your current predicament. To save frequently is a good thing but, if one save results in corruption of the file, all is lost. Hence, if I put a lot of work into an image, I frequently save with alternating file names. That way, I only lose some of my work. Incidentally, I have never had a file corrupted either, hmm...?Futureboy wrote:Hope someone can help me...

How big is this file of yours? Not that it matters much now, just out of interest in what may have caused the corruption.
Do you experience other problems with your system, like programs hanging, involuntary system restarts etc.?
