Hey guys,
I made my first DV > DVD conversion using Ulead VS9. After almost 1 full day of completing 1 DV tape, I tryed playing back the dvd in my standalone dvd player. I popped it in, and it loaded upto the main menu. However from the mainmenu the dvd went onto the next chapter automatically, showing only the first frame of each chapter, and then replaying from the main menu over and over. The dvd goes upto 6 chapters and then repeats over and over, with absolutly no video play at all, other then a few frames. Can anyone tell me what maybe wrong?
Thanks
Playback Problem

The biggest mistake is not to give us anything to go by.

Are you following the recommended procedure? (Heinz offered you the links.) Please detail your workflow - from capture through burning. We need more to go on...

I had a playback 'problem' but it went away as follows:
After burning a DVD I played it in a standalone.
It was a 2hr recording of my band and about the last 5 minutes of the DVD..it started stuttering...freezing...thing like that. I tried it a couple
of times fast forwarding to that spot and always the same thing. Out of desperation not wanting to reburn another one, I took the disc out, wiped it off and now it plays great...even at that spot. Probably luck I guess.
