Importing VOB files into MSP8 SP1

Post by quintalcosta »

Could someone help me on the best way to import VOB files into MSP8? I have a SONY DCR-DVD201E, wich records directly into a DVD.

I have been able to do it using another program (MOVAVI), but the resulsts haven't been satisfactory.

Thanks
jday

You do this using the "Video Capture" module of MSP8. While in Video Capture, go to "Setup", "Change Capture Plug-In" and select "Import DVD Plug-In."

The click capture and a dialog box will open asking you to select the video folder you want. Just navigate to your DVD drive and select the video-ts folder.

I have both MSP7 & MSP8. In MSP7 capture I can follow the step by step that Jerry Jones discusses but not in MSP8 capture. In MSP8 when you start capture the window that pops up does not have a properties button. How do you navigate to the DVD drive?

Hit record, name the file, then click ok, then it will load a navigation box for you to select the dvd. Once you have selected the dvd it will load the capture interface where you choose which files to capture.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks,
Since it was different than MSP 7 it must be broken! ... Wrong!!
As is most often the case, operator error! ... loose nut behind the wheel!
Thanks for straightening me out
