Project not viewable

I am new at this and need some help..... I edited an avi file into seven clips. They will not display as a project, but will as a clip. What am I doing wrong. Like I said, I need some [b]HELP!!!![/b] Using VideoStudio8

When I preview as a project, all I get is the audio, no video.....

What do you mean by "they won't display as a project"? If your clips are in the timeline, in order to see what they actually look like edited together you have to render them by either going to Share.....Create Video File, or by using the 'High Quality playback' option.

The only thing I can think at this moment is do you have the playback target incorrectly set in "Preferences" .

Click on "File" then Choose "Preferences" - - about 2/3 of the way down the new dialogue box which opens is a drop-down labelled "Instant Playback Target" - - if that drop down says any thing other than "Preview Screen" then change it so that it does say 'preview screen' - click 'OK' and try again.

it worked for that poster - maybe it will work for you
