Program abort if Windows udpate starts

Post by ghoofie »

While this didn't happen using VS 9, I use both VS and also a capture program called Capture Wizard that does a nice, simple , easy to use, direct to DVD capture. Anyway...I was doing a 2 hour video capture last night and about 1 hour into it, I went up to the computer just to have a look...the program had closed..no more capture going on and I had the little notice that my computer had just done an automatic update. So I guess if you are letting a capture run a while unattended...turn off auto update for a while.

Yes, all unnecessary background programs should be disabled during capture, including windows update, anti virus protection and the screen screen saver. Not doing this invites problems such as dropped frames or the capture being aborted.
