Athlon Processor

Post by rob.mitchellhome »

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing VideoStudio 10 after reading good reviews including a 'Which' recomended buy (UK consumer magazene). I'm also a very discruntled Pinnacle Studio 9 owner (riddled with bugs).

Anyway... I was wondering whether my PC has enough clought to run and produce DVD's using VideoStudio 10 software?

My PC spec is as follow.

XP Home + latest SP OS
Athlon XP 2700 Processor
NVIDIA nForce2 IGP Graphics Card
NVIDIA nForce2 MCP2 Sound Card
1GB DDR Kingston Memeory
200GB WD Hard Drive

I think my main concern is a non Intel Chip, especially not having hyper threading.

Cheers
Rob :)

Personally, I think you do. But why not download the 30 day trial and see for yourself?

I had an Athlon 2000+ with 512MB RAM and it did a fair job...
I'm using Win2000, maybe XP is a little heavier but you should be able to work OK.
