Hello,
I am new here and thinking of switching over to Videostudio 10 from Song Vegas 6 to see if it could fix the problem that I am having when importing .SWF (Macromedia Flash) files.
When importing these files I only see part of my animation. I have more than 1 frame on the timeline in Flash and it plays well through Flash player but not in VS10.
For example:
I have an animated face with eyes rolling around. I see the full face and eyes in the Flash player but in VS10 I only see the eyes.
The major problem I had in Sony Vegas 6 is that it does not support "Actionscripting" and all my animations are speedy fast when there should be some 3 second delays along the way. I actually notice this same problem in VS10 and perhaps "Actionscripting" is not support in the program either. Can someone elighten me on this?
P.S. Please email me at moogoo@shaw.ca as I am not always on the forums.
Thank you!

Hi,
I think that the actionscript might be the issue here. I have not tried using SWF files with actionscript in VS. I've tried to keep them simple. I use SwishMax for authoring my SWFs.
I've posed the question to Ulead and we will see what (if any) answer they have. I will also try to create an actionscript SWF using SwishMax, and see what VS does with it. In reading your post, I suspect that the actionscript you are using deals with time (the delays) you have. I know that your MC (movieclips, my sprites) need to have the same frames as the main timeline. VS will not act on the MCs seperately to the main timeline.
So for example if you have 3 MCs on the main timeline, and each MC is 120 frames long, and your main timeline is only 30 frames, then VS will only see 30 frames.
