Hello,
I've tried to get either an image or plain text to be added as an overlay but have noticed that no matter what quality I create them in they display with poor quality as a .PNG
Any suggestions to get a crisper image or text while using the overlay?
Thanks!

Are you basing the quality on the playback in the Preview window in VS? If so, do not expect that to be very good quality. To get a better idea try setting in the Preferences High Quality Playback. Then in Project Mode, play a segment to see if it appears better.
You can use the trim handles to select a Preview Range, (you must be in Project Mode) therefore not having to wait for VS to render the whole project before viewing it.

I have a similar problem to do with the image quality.
I'm trying to put an image over a moving background. (A person moving behind the image of a fence.)
I can easily do this, but the playback of the person moving is really slow. I'm using a trial version of VS10+ so could that be why?
I've tried setting the preferences to High Quality Playback, but that hasnt worked. Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do?
