Missing transitions

Post by fatbloke »

I've overlapped two video clips and the default crossfade transition is automatically inserted - fine. However, I can't see how to change the transition. I know it's probably something simple but then again, so am I! I've recently upgraded from Videostudio and this used to present a window from which you can select the effect you want. Any advice would be gratefully received.
Simon.

Select another transition. Drag it across to the time line and drop it onto the existing transition. Click to lock it in place and you should have your new tranisition.

That's the problem - I can't see where to select the transition from!

Under 'Production Library' then 'Transition Effect'. Expand it and there should be heaps of them there.

Within the Production Library all I have are symobols to do the following...

Menu
Thumbnail Display Mode
Import Video File
Import Audio File
Import Image File
Import Project File
Multi-Trim Video
Add to Time Line

... and nothing else. Perhaps I don't have the Production Library configured correctly. If not, I've no idea how to correct.

Found the problem! For some reason, I collapsed the left portion of the Production Library thereby hiding the menu(s) for the Media Library, Transition Effects etc. I'm an idiot.

Don't mind, but if you do agree be warned - I'll be in Cyprus on the 26 July!

Hi Simon,

You don't have to be an idiot to edit video, but it sure helps! ('')
