New Member Question menu template question (s)

Post by kat2 »

gosh, what a lovely program to use I am new to ulead products but need a little help, I am using a template that has lots of white roses on it, I wish to insert a video window with my movie inside that window with an overlay mask that is the love heart and when clicking on the play button it brings the video in the love heart window down and opens up the movie file to play full screen. so, far I have only managed to insert the video window and put the love heart mask overlya over the video window, but I cannot seem to make the small love heart video window open up into full screen play by clicking on the play button, please help or point me to some where that has this done complete with instructions!!! *lol*, looks nice so far its just getting that small video window to play full screen on the click of a button, my last question is around the menu template sound, seems to pop or blip not sure if thats a computer issue or a sound problem for the menu background sound.

Do you mean something like:

Image

Those hearts are Menu Frames not overlays. The popping noise you hear is possibly that you have your associated sound file at a different length to the menu duration and so it is either cut short or runs out of steam. You need to match the duration of the menu to the audio.

*awe*, Hi, Steve, I managed to solve the issues raised and yes frames, sorry! *lol*, the sound problem was cured when I converted it to a wave file, not sure why but what was happening to help anyone else was the motion background which was moving seems to glitch and this is when the sound popped! needless to say for some strange reason changing the sound file format to wav seems to work. The picture looks lovely I am now wondering if its possible to have scrolling text going from the top to the bottom? I am pleased so far with what I have been able to do.
thanku for your reply Steve

To have scrolling text you have to cheat.
Create your background video so that the scrolling text is a part of that video!

cheat indeed *grin*,
gosh but thats going to be hard to get the perfect scroll without it appearing to be gerky I suppose I could use the grid reference and move it up a frame in each frame? or should I say each video window I progress the text up the page over a period of time?

its a pity I cant just export the whole project to another ulead one that offers the text feature
