Company created captioned DVD for me for special. There is 2 chapter on top menu, non-caption and with caption. I try to import captioned chapter to hard drive, but it won't show caption at all. But i can see caption with DVD player on TV.
How can I import chapter in DVD with caption?? I need to create DVD for deaf people. thank you!!!
can't import subtitle
I don't think you can do that. The imported file is simply an MPEG-2 file, and subtitles are separate subpictures on the DVD.
Closed captions are different. They are text embedded in the video, and they may be embedded in the imported MPEG... I'm not sure. In any case, I'm pretty sure they will be lost if you edit (decode/re-code) the MPEG.
DVD Workshop can make a DVD with subtitles, but I have a feeling you'd have to re-type them.

Re: can't import subtitle
Do you mean when you create a new dvd with MovieFactory, and play the new DVD in a dvd player, it is showing the closed captions?yunakokimama wrote:But i can see caption with DVD player on TV.
btw, I believe it is possible to make it work with a dvd software player, but you will need to use other software to turn on the proper CC flags in the resulting DVD...
