Hi - I just purchased VideoStudio Plus10 and am trying to make a first slideshow using still images.
I import all images (JPEG and TIFF) just fine -- they show up in the timeline and everything looks good. I can play each clip without a problem.
When I play the entire project however, none of the images show and the screen is entirely black. Audio track plays fine, however I get only a black screen. If I output the project to MPEG, same thing -- only black screen with audio playing.
What am I doing wrong?

Every one seems to have skirted around you Chuck - possibly because it's a bit difficult to know exactly whats happening.
Have you tried playing the mpeg file you created in Windows Media player - is the screen still black there
The only thing I can think at this moment is do you have the playback target incorrectly set in "Preferences" .
Click on "File" then Choose "Preferences" - - about 2/3 of the way down the new dialogue box which opens is a drop-down labelled "Instant Playback Target" - - if that drop down says any thing other than "Preview Screen" then change it so that it does say 'preview screen' - click 'OK' and try again.

"Instant Playback Target" - That fixed it.
Dear BrianCee -
Thank you VERY MUCH. I tried the fix you suggested and it did the trick. I really appreciate your help!
