Hauppauge PVR150, 250, 350 working in VS10 yet?

Post by TimA-C »

Hi,

been away from here for a while and was wondering if ULEAD has sorted out being able to capture from a Hauppauge PVR150 into VS10 yet? (And before someone says 'Ooh! Capture with the software that came with it!' Hauppauge's WinTV2000 software doesn't work if you have more than 1 hauppauge device installed, and since I have a Nova-T USB2 as well... [which I also can't use in VS10 but could with VS9!])

I can't see any update packs or patches yet for VS10, so has anyone been able to capture from a PVR150, 250, or 350? If not then I'll just have to go back to VS9 and capture in that. (Pretty stupid that their new software doesn't support all the capture devices that the old one did especially since Hauppauge is still one of the biggest hardware names in this end of the market!)

As I posted when VS10 was first relesed that Ulead programmers should talk to each other.

I bought Movie Factory 5 when it first came out and am able to capture with my Hauppauge PVR-250 and my Dvico HDTV Fusion Gold 3. I can't use any of them in VS10.

Seems the capture modules in the two programs are different. I use MF5 for most of my capturing, even using firewire.

Thanks for the replies, shame they weren't more positive. At least I've still got VS9 installed, I'd be REALLY annoyed if I'd upgraded to VS10 only to find that a) it wouldn't talk to my PVR150 and b) it wouldn't install alongside VS9.

C'mon Ulead, pull your finger out and give me at least the same functionality as I had in the previous version!

Tim,

VS10+ will install alongside VS9. Not only do I have those installed, but VS8, and MSP. I have not had any conflicts between apps.

I don't know about the PVR150 issue, as I don't use a capture card, just Firewire.

Thanks for your reply, Ron. However, if you'd actually read my previous post then you'd know that I know that VS10+ installs alongside VS9 because I have VS9 installed alongside VS10+! (I think the clue was possibly the line,
"At least I've still got VS9 installed"
) :)
