Library Video thumbails..

Post by iaurkano »

Hi All,

One question,

now i have a lot of videos in my media library, and severals of them start with a blank white or black screen, so viewing the thumbail does not help me to know what is the content of this video.

so my question is, is it possible to select the image shown in the thumbails ?

thank's..

Hi Iaurkano,

The only way I have found to do this is:
  • Highlight the clip by single clicking on it.
  • Advance the clip to a frame that has an image, by pressing the Tab Key then using the Right Arrow Key, or clicking once in the Timecode display, (00:00:00:00) on the far right numbers (frames), then click the Up arrow beside it to advance the clip.
  • Press the Mark-In "[" button. (F3 on the keyboard).
[/list]

Basically what we have just done is trimmed the black frames from the front of the clip...:)

Hope that helps..:)

Hi

Other than Ron’s suggestion of trimming the clip. You can rename the thumbnails.

Click on the thumbnail ‘name’ to change the description.
This does not rename the file on your hard drive, just the library thumbnail.
