Movie Factory 5 with Mpeg4 (Sanyo VPC-HD1)

I recently purchased a Sanyo VPC-HD1 and installed movie factory 4 on my PC. The installer pointed me to the ulead website to upgrade to 5.0. So I did - now I find out that 5.0 is not compatible with the Mpeg4 files from my camera - Why would ulead point you to upgrade if they don't have support? Anyway - I was surfing the web today and found this article: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Press.jsp?mode=05-17-2006. It's basically about a plugin that allows you to use the files from the camera with Movie factory 5- The problem is the the link it provides is in Japanese - Can anyone find this plugin for me and give the link to download it? Thanks in advance!!

Every time you install a bundled product, not only Ulead, you get the option to upgrade to a full version.

Ulead had no way of knowing which hardware it was going to be bundled with. It's your responsibility to make sure you get the right product.

Not knowing your camcorder, I still feel you would have been better served with MF 4 DiskCreator. As to the update link, I would suggest to contact Ulead customer service from their web site, after you register your current versions.

Under system requirements for Ulead Movie Factory 5, MPG4 is not supported, however, Video Studio 10+ does support MPG4.

This statement is not correct. Ulead required me to give them the serial number for the version 4 software which was written for this HD camera. If they take the time to make sure it's a valid serial number, they would know what product it was for (the disk and software stated it's created specifically for the Sanyo VPC-HD1 and it works with Mpeg4's. I really just want the Japenese plugin - So if anyone can read japanese -pleas find the link for me

You need to enter your MF5 serial number to download.

My japanese is not that great, but MovieFactory is called MovieWriter in Japan.

But it doesn't seem to work with the US version of Movie Factory 5.0. I guess I'll have to wait for an English version - Thanks again.

Just curious... you mean it didn't want to install on your system, or you don't have the MPEG-4 option in the Open Video File dialog list?

It did install, I just don't have the MP4 option. I couldn't tell what is was installing though - lol
