This depends upon how you use your computer and the problem concerned.url wrote:....... have noticed that this is not occurring today when I booted???
Could this have corrected itself??..........
Some people tend to turn their computer off at night and back on in the morning. Some people tend to keep their computers turned on permanently.
My computer is only turned off for maintenance purposes. In fact Computers are designed to be kept turned on all of the time. Take Organistations like the Police for instance "Sorry we can't come tonight - we've had to turn our computers off!"
Every now and again a program will conflict with another. Every now and again a computer suffers a little gliche and gets a headache. Either it freezes up or starts behaving oddly. There are hundreds of reasons why this happens ranging from a bug in a piece of program code to a slight electrical surge. It could be system overload where someone has simply tried to get it to multi-task too much.
For whatever the reason was the computer has simply got a headache. In these situations re-booting does have a habit of fixing this problem.
So it is possible (although most of the time unlikely) that a re-boot may have cured something in your situation.
