accessing deleted files

Post by jbooth »

I have been testing out Photo Explorer regarding accessing of deleted files. When using the righ-button menu option on the Recycle bin, one sees the option "Open with ULead Photo Explorer." However, even when I know there are deleted files in the bin, nothing is displayed via Photo Explorer. Is there some special configuration needed to get deleted graphics that are contained in the recycle bin to be displayed via Photo Explorer, or is this some kind of program bug?

Thanks for any info!

Two methods.
1. Use the RESTORE option from the recycle bin to return the file to its original location.
2. Cut and paste the deleted file into a temporary folder on the hard drive.

Thanks for the quick reply! However, the function still seems to be "crippled." I.e., I have several utilities that work as file management tools. They all--as is PhotoExplorer--accessible via right-moust-button menus. If I open up the recycle bin with any of them (other than PE), the application displays the contents of the recylcle bin.

Naturally, I can click on the recycle bin icon on my deskbop, and provided I havae set icons as the default viewing mode, the concents of any graphic are shown.

PhotoExplorer is, at least on my system, the only such utility that doesn't show the contents of the recycle bin. No matter what I do, if PhotoExplorer is the active application, it can show me the contents of practically any foldfer--except the recycle bin!

Thanks though, for getting back to me.

If you only wish to view the contents of the recycle bin with a view to restoring certain items, use Windows XP explorer and use the thumbnails view option.
