DVD Movie factory 4 - audio hardware issue

Post by sergeyr »

When I connect wires I found, when I connect audio white wires together there is no audio signal transmitted to computer, but when I connect red wires signal is transmitted. I tried several wires and several VCRs. Then I came back to store and exchanged the hardware, but there was no change. This means that I transmitted mono signal. I wonder if it supposed to transmit audio mono signal or I bought defect hardware twice, and if this is true what I should do in this case.

Not that this subject has anything to do with DVD MovieFactory and really doesn't belong in here, here are my 2 pennies worth anyway. If you play a mono tape in a stereo VCR, you get mono out. Lacking any detail either way, I would say your source tape is mono.

I am 100% sure(I double checked) that my tapes are stereo. I have exactly same problem with digital camcorder. I understand that forum about Movie factory, but Movie factory were sold in with this hardware. I hope somebody from support will try to answer.

I still don't think that the software is to blame for this problem. What capture device do you use? How do you connect to the PC?

I will try to repeat this again.
1.I know how to check the audio signal. Red wire transmit the signal to PC and white does not.
2.I do not blame the soft.
3. I have a KWORLD hardware which were sold with the software in the same box that is why I post my question on this board.
4.I connect the hardware through USB port and microphone.
5. I already exchanged the hardware once but get the same result.
6. Both my speakers working properly.

Could you please elaborate on this? How exactly do you connect which cable?

Kworld hardware on one side has a usb connector which I connect to usb port and cord which I connect to microphone input on my PC. On another side yellow cable which I connect with video cord which connected to my VCR (or camcorder), then 2 audio cables(which grouped together) red and white which I conect to audio output cables from my VCR(or comcorder). There is small box between these 2 sides which contains on/off button.

For your audio input the cable should be connected to a Line-In port of your PC, not the microphone port. The levels used by these 2 ports are considerably different.
