Widescreen Creating File Question...
When a video is already in a widescreen format, am I losing from the sides when I do this? Also why is this video like in a box, will it be like a box on my TV or will it play normal? Also, some parts that I have are enchanced for WS TV's and another part isn't... is the whole video going to match the same widescreen?

Here is a picture of the video clip...trevor andrew wrote:Hi
Have a look at ‘16:9 A look at Widescreen’ from the link below.
Shows what a widescreen video should look like when viewed in video studio.
When you say your video shows like a box, do you mean the clips are distorted or in the correct proportions?
Trevor

That is what I am getting when I click on the option (DVD 16:9) when I create the file. The 4:3 one is fine but the clips I added from the movie doesn't match the ones from the video and I want them the same. The one from the video looks like a letter box type widescreen to me. So it does not look like that in picture you told me to look at.

Hi
I do not think your video is widescreen.
The image you show indicates all the properties of a 4:3 inserted to a 16:9 project.
Right click on your video clip and select properties. In the Attributes what do they show.
Ok
A 4:3 frame contains the same number of pixels as a 16:9.
The only difference is the shape of the pixels, in one they are square (well nearly) the other being oblong.
Video studio uses a process called ‘Non square pixel rendering’ to stretch the pixels, but the original recorded footage has to be in 16:9.
If Video Studio does not recognise or is confused over the true format of the recording you could try removing the Non Square Pixel Render (File--Project Properties) This should reshape the frame.
I do not understand your comment (The 4:3 one is fine but the clips I added from the movie doesn't match the ones from the video and I want them the same)
What are Clips I added and the Video. Right click the clips/video and view the properties.
Hope this Helps
