adding a new video thumbnail in dvd workshop 2.0

hello, i have an existing project that has a menu with video thumbnails already etc, and i am trying to add the latest clip to it but i am having problems i load the clip to the video libray and create a new thumbnail on the menu preview window then drag the clip over to the empty thumbnail, but it is'nt linked in the button menu's attributes and it dosent highlight when i mouse over it, how do i get it to do that i tried everything i know but there are no options on the button menu's attributes it's just grayed out. any help welcomed

I'm not on my editing pc at present, but doesn't the clip have to be on the timeline at the bottom to be dragged onto a menu button, not dragged from the library?

Or it can be one of the chapter thumbnails down the right hand side of the screen.

well, on the edit section there is a timeline at the bottom which has all the video files used , but you go to the menu section to set up the menu for for the dvd project, there are templates you can use but i've done that already so i am trying to add another video to the dvd's menu without using a template so example there are two menus, menu 1 has 5 video thumbnails and menu 2 has 2 video thumbnails , i want to add a video thumbnail #3 to menu 2 , i then click button>frame and drag over the frame for the new thumbnail i want to use and then i go to video section and drag the video clip to the new thumbnail, that's easy but i don't know how to make it clickable to play, like highligt etc. , on the buttons attributes it's blank and it won't let u add anything and when previewing it's not clickable to play the file, like it is not totally linked to the video clip, any help is welcomed.

What version of DWS are you running (have you applied any patches)?

Try rt-click/copy on an existing button, then rt-click/paste to add the new button. Then drag the video you really want onto the new button. Does that process work

hi,
i tried copying & pasting an existing button and dragging the video file i really wanted over to it but the link to the original copied button still plays not the one that i dragged over to it, i have dvd workshop 2.0
no, i havent applied any updates is there an update to correct this etc?

You should go to the Ulead Support pages, register your version of DWS and apply the update patches.

Also, check the PLAYLIST for the button -- make sure it does not have the old title in there...

What type of disc are you creating -- VCD, SVCD, or DVD?

hiya yep the playlist still has the old title but i don't know how to edit that, it's like locked i can't edit the title to correct one. i am editing a dvd project , i will also download the updates
