Audio gap after transition

It works perfectly in the project, but after Share/Create Video File the first few frames of audio are missing following a transition.

This is the sequence...

20:20 - Intro with Titles
02:00 - Crossfade Transition
04:19 - Video Clip
02:00 - Crossfade Transition
22:23 - Video Clip * first few Audio frames missing in rendered mpeg

It appears that the audio from the second clip doesn't start until the first one has finished. In the Project it plays over the first clip exactly as I want it.

If I remove the second transition the audio continues fine.

What am I doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong, you likely just haven't fully patched your UVS installation. There was a problem with audio getting out of sync when transitions are used, but the latest patch fixes that.

I started with UVS7 SE bundled with DVD Express.

Then I purchased UVS8 Upgrade and installed.

Then I applied the patches as per the sticky...

(1) CD/DVD Burning Engine Update - (Build Number: 3.6.17.246, Release Date: 2004/07/27)
(2) Version 8.01 Update – (Build Number: 8.01, Release Date: 2004/09/06
(3) 16X DVD Burning Pack – (Release Date: 2004/11/1
(4) Daylight Savings Time Patch - (Release Date: 2004/12/10)

My version now is 8.01.0000

Should I have uninstalled 7 SE? Do I need an additional update?
