Cannot install DVD MovieFactory 5.0

I just purchased DVD MovieFactory 5.0 and I cannot install it on my machine due to this error:

"Installation will stop now, because Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or above must be installed first before installing DVE MovieFactory.
Plese download Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or above from the Microsoft Web site, and then install DVD MovieFactory again."

I have installed Microsoft DirectX but still get the error.

My machine:
Win2003 Server Enterprise Edition w/ SP1
Intel P4 3.2 Ghz processor
3 GB RAM

I'm assuming you're installing with Administrator rights.
