Hey Gents.
I'm using msp 8.0
And I've been working on my video but hit a snag. I have like 5 video clips that I want playing to the left. Like scrolling to the left the screen but together. So when the 1st video clip rolls to the left the next video is stuck to it and when you can see half of the 1st video the 2nd video is rolling to the left following the 1st. I'm not doing it correct. How would I do this?
moving path?
Hi Dabear
I'm not entirely sure what effect you are trying to create but you will need to work with the key frames in your 2nd, 3rd clip, etc. otherwise the moving paths will start moving immediately the clip begins to play.
1. Open the moving path for your 2nd clip and position that clip to where you want it to be at the start, when the clip begins to play.
2. Right click and copy the key frame (the one in red under motion control to the left of the moving path screen).
3. Then move the slide control to the point where you want the moving path to start, then right click and paste. Voila, that will keep the moving path static until it reaches the copied and pasted key frame.
4. Do this to the 3rd, 4th, etc clips (you can also copy and paste the key frame from one clip to another if they all start in the same position).
Hope this helps & good luck.

Hey Gra
Thanks for the help but I still don't understand it.

I copied the key frame but it still isn't following it the way I want and also the scroll goes way to fast.

Hi Dabear
Sorry if I wasn't clear. Before copying the key frame make sure you position the clip exactly where you want it first (by using the wireframe box above the key frame control). That is where it will commence from when the clip starts playing. Once you are sure the clip is in the right position, copy the key frame and place that where you want it on the key frame line. The clip will remain static until the slide control hits the second key frame.
Like you said in your new thread, I find video tutorials very helpful and you may want look at: http://www.seeitdoit.tv/free.asp for some ideas. Admittedly, they are using MSP7, but it is basically the same. The first one uses the video filter pan & zoom control, but it will give you better clues about using key frames. There's also a tutorial using moving paths, which may help with the effect you are trying to create.
Have fun and hope this all helps.
