sony dvd handycam & Ulead Video Studio 8 with Dolby Plug

Hey I just wanted to say that over all my experience with these two products together has been very good.

If you have the SONY and want to use Ulead you need the Dolby Plug in - No problem there that I have seen.

The learning curve on VS8 is none to steep either, and it seems to render the video files faster than the other products I tried out - Adobe & Macromedia, few others.

Of course you can't capture directly from the Sony DVD Handy cam -

So what I do is just read directly from the camera's MiniDVD! (they have to be finalized of course) I think this is faster than Fire wire or USB2 anyway, if not it is still convenient.

I have been seeing complaints about burring DVDs - I haven't used ULEAD to burn DVDs as my computer only plays DVDs so I am stuck using the Sony supplied software to let the camera burn my edited movies to a mini DVD.

Are there any plans to support the Sony DVD camera with Read / Write via USB - Any third party solutions?

I would love to hear any feedback or questions on this combo of hardware and software.
