Export or save as .PNG
I have done searches throughout the forum for info that would allow me to save (create image file & save the animation sequence) any given animation with a transparent backround...
I know that .png is not supported which really sucks and the loss of quality saving it as a .gif is not really great either...
I have tried the alternative .TGA but it wont display properly...
Which leaves me with a .bmp or Jpeg and a non transparent backround....
I have also submited a short list to Ulead of practical additions to the program that would enable creation of better quality content, but that is not resolving my problem since they are not likely to do anything about that very soon or ever.....
The reason I ask here is that maybe you guys know of a trick that would alow me to create an image file and save the animation sequence with a transparent backround, with no negligeble quality loss.
Then maybe I can convert the result to .PNG.
Its a great piece of software but its serioulsly lacking in many practical formats both as import/export and save...
Thanks for your attention in advance.

Ok Thanks for your reply and e-mail...
I do know how to save as .TGA with transparent backround, there's really not much to it at all.
My biggest problem is that for compatibility reasons the files have to be in .PNG format and converting the images from TGA to .PNG really nackers the whole lot...
If you know of that skin for WMP9/10 Alienware Invasion It is something like that I ultimatly want to achieve.
If you look at the that skin's Animation folder you will see it.
.TGA is really not the format for it for more reasons than one...
I guess I'll just have to figure it out...

May I ask, why do the need PNG so much?

No. I do not get your reasoning. TGA and PNG are both 24+8 bit mode and support shaded alpha channels. In gaming engines, TGA's are better implemented by code which result in quicker load times. To put it simply, TGA is royalty-free, less bugs and can be used with other Ulead programs like Media Studio Pro. Works great when converting TGA image sequences to .UIS(Ulead Image Sequence), this allows the user to treat the sequence as a video file on the timeline.

I use this program for PNG files.
To add different file formats you may need to add some plug-ins.

As for rwernyei comment about the .PNG vs .TGA sorry mate but not everything supports .TGA even though its a similar format Im not doing this for a windows platform.... there.
As for the royalty free part well it figures Ulead wouldnt dish out for a better format, sadly I did dish out for the lot stock and barrels... quite expensive for a buggy/incomplete program like that.
Doesnt even support 32 bit depth bmp... what a joke.
Thanks to the big guys for stepping in to clear some comments that I really never read...
X3lectric,
You finally answered the question why you need PNG? So, your answer is platform. Problem with that statement is that TGA is a universal file format. Your problem sounds more like end-user error with your OS rather than the software.

What do you think TGA is? 32 bit Targa bitmap.
Sorry, you are not having any fun with this amazingly simple 3D program like so many others in this forum.

mmm
Not that Im not having fun... In fact I am enjoying what Im producing with the program despite its many shortcommings...
My pickle is I paid a silly amount of money for something that falls short of my expectations and is very buggy...
I guess this matter is closed since that functionality is not possible to achieve with this program...
Thank you all for your replies...
