I'm having some trouble with my VideoStudio10+ program. Everytime I go to open it, I get a dialogue box that says, "The security information is invalid or has been modified. This program will be terminated." Then I can no longer even ATTEMPT to open the program, and it just happened out of nowhere. Help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Have you found anything that works yet? I have the exact same problem, and am unable to get the trial software to fire up, though I was able to a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for any light you can shed on this issue.

Hey guys,
I had the same exact problem. I followed the link maddrummer3301 posted and tried the fix but it did not fix it. I deleted the program and reinstalled it now the error message has gone but the program still doesnt open up. I had bought a new capture card and decided to tryout this program at the referral from an article on video editing programs. I just installed this program 2 days ago and now it stops working. Someone please tell me what I can do to get this program to work again.
Thanks

I have installed the trial version of Video Studio Plus 10. Since the trial period is over, I have this security warning every time I start my computer: "The security information is invalid or has been modified. This program will be terminated."
I did not know it could be related to the Ulead program until my researches brought me on this forum board.
Is there a way to find out if this warning is related to the Video Studio Plus 10 ? How do I get rid of this message ? Is there a setting somewhere that I can change ?

VS 10 Cannot Run Purchased Version Having Had Trial Version

Came looking for Help on this board and this thread caught my eye.
Had installed the trial version of VS 10 (having bought 8 and 9) and (once it expired) my PC showed the message some people describe about security having been altered or insecure (Whatever!) but it was never clear until I read this board which program was generating it.
I have just installed Video Studio 10 from CD having purchased it but it would not launch from any of the icons. Tried to "fix" the installation and now it is has reverted to the trial version and is asking for an Authentication code, which I can only get (I think) by buying the software online but I have already bought it and so do not want to but it again but I seem to be stuck. Help!
Having a registration code (found on the physical CD covers or in the software itself) is not the same as an Authentication code so I'm rather confused. I cannot run the version I have paid for but nor do I want to pay to Authenticate the trial version when I have bought a legit copy online from Ulead itself. Suggestions please!

Furthermore I have to say that the Technical Support offered by Ulead is really frustrating because you have to Register your product before you can submit Technical Support Questions but if the technical problem is that you cannot install or register the product how can you then post questions about how to do this?

when i deleted the whole v10 and restarted the computer the message did not appear. after reinstalling the programme the message appeared again so it's certainly a ulead 10 problem.

I think this problem only relates to the trial version. I am sure the trial version has a number of time based "tricks" to stop people from trying to fool the program into believing that the trial period has not expired. Possibly Windows update is re-setting or adjusting some time reference within the oerating system and the trial version of VS is mis-interpreting this.
I don't believe there have been any reports of this occurring ing full versions.

I have the boxed version of "VideoStudio 10 Plus" and it works perfect, but the trial version worked perfect for me too.

I was getting the same message but I didn't realize until now that it was Ulead that was causing it. Thanks guys.
I've just used MSConfig to stop the Ulead pre-loader (uvPL.exe) from executing on startup and the message has gone away. voila!
