Using VS8, I'm converting 8mm tape through canon dv camera via firewire.
PROBLEM: I hit capture and apparently when tape has somewhat longer black space, it JUST capturing stops. I've had VS8 stop with different tapes at different times.
I tried setting "capturing duration" to 2 hours, but it still will stop.
I just want it to capture for a full 1 or 2 hours regardless of signal.
Is there an "override" feature? I know the software stops when the signal stops to save time, but this doesn't work for me. The person who created these tapes sometimes has 30 sec or more of blank tape inbetween scenes.
Computer is Dell Dimension, 2400+ AMD Athlon XP, 256Mb ram. Running VS8 from 40Gb C drive, capturing to 160Gb F drive.
Thanks
