Kerning? - VideoStudio 10

(New user, moving over from a competative product.)

I've setup a title (scrolling credits actually), and noticed that letters get "trimmed". Almost so bad that "Book" looks like "Bcok".

Yes, the first "o" will be missing pixels from the right side, looking almost like the letter "c".

I'm wondering if I need to set kerning to space them out more... or is there something else that's causing it?

Oh, and font size is 18 to 22. ...It still does this up to a font of around 30, but just not as obvious.

Output is to DVD (full screen, not 320x200).

Ideas?

I've never experienced this. Does this happen when you preview it on your computer screen, or on the TV from your finished DVD? If it is when you are previewing in Instant Playback, I would try previewing in High Quality Playback, or actually burn it to a RW to check it on TV.

On final (720x480) DVD output.

Problem is also in high-res preview.

As for normal pre-view (320x240), the text is pixelated as it is supposed to look.

I can post photos sometime Thursday afternoon...

You can't change the kerning. Try another font with more room between each letter.
