No, I don't have the CD. All my Ulead programs are ESD, downloaded from elements5 and backed up to CD. If I need to reinstall, I copy the installer file from the backup to my desktop and install from there.
I'm trying to reconstruct what happened here.
You started with a trial version, right?
Then you bought the full version and got a serial number, right?
Did you ever download the full version, or did you just activate your trial version with the serial number?
The proper way of migrating from a trial to a full version is this:

- install the full version from download or CD
- register your software with Ulead on their web site
- get and install update patches.

This topic is a little old now but I just had an idea
All I need is a working profile file named/renamed either Profile, Profile1, Profile2, or Wilkie1(I'm not sure which was my last working one)
So open up regedit in Run...
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Ulead Systems > Photoimpact > 11.0 > Profiles and hit export in File and save it as w/e. Then email it to wilkie1020@hotmail.com.
I think/hope this will work although when i double clicked my exported file I don't know where it adds it int he registry(prolly where I exported it from)

One could try to do that, if one would like to take a chance. You might end up with a PC that will not boot at all rather than only a not working software
Furthermore, if it was that simple (trust me, it ain't), you would then run PI with someone elses serial number.
I think, buying a new copy to download for $ 90.- or, even better, the boxed version (you get VS 9 for free with it
) is the lesser of the available evils.

Let me get this straight:

- you downloaded a trial version of PI
later you purchased the full version and got a serial number
it worked fine after you "activated" it with your serial number
you never saved the downloaded file nor the serial number
now that you have a problem with it, it seems that it is not registered in the WIN registry
you have something like 10 programs that came with it
Question:
what programs are these? Can you give us a list?

When I look at my PI 10 or PI 11 serial numbers and compare them with the ones shown in the associated PI Album version, Album gives me the PI serial number.
Whether or not that will work in your case, because PI was not properly installed, I can't tell. Try it.
GifAnimator, PEX 8.6 have different serial numbers to PI.
