v9 problems with steroe sound on audio track

Post by archivistscott »

I have vs version 9 on windows xp home. I listen to the tracks with the project and the sound is full and vibrant, however after I burn onto a dvd, the sound is not stereo at all. I ahve tried three dvd players. Just the vocals are apparant for each of the tracks. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you.

Are you rendering your project prior to the burn or are you burning from the timeline? If the file is being rendered, what are the audio properties for the rendered file and are the audio settings at the burn stage identical?

I am rendering the project to a video file then burning. Before rendering I save the project with the same settings as the vsp. The audio properties are wav files. I hope this helps.

If the audio on the rendered file is a .WAV file, then make sure that the audio settings at the burn stage read as Linear Pulse Code Modulation (LPCM) audio. You'll find these settings by clicking on the project settings/settings and options icons at the bottom left of the screen when you go to 'Create Disk'.
