Different Text on front and back of a Board
Hi all, I want to put some text on a board and when it rotates see different text on the 'back' of the board. Anyone help? Thanks!! (I'm not using PS).
Assuming that you are using the 'Board' bevel effect, click on the scroll bar in attribute toolbar until you see the 'Use Front' checkmark. Turn this option off to activate the 'Back' button where you can click to bring up the text dialog and enter the text you want on the back side.
Hope that helps.

Using the Bevel Face Manager Deselect the faces you don't want to add the color to. In other words, just select the bevel face that you want the color applied.
Also on the Bevel Attribute Panel there is an option Target B T. The B is for the Board, and the T is of course the Text. Make sure you have the B selected to make attribute changes to the Board. Then you can also apply colors, textures to the text, by selecting the T.
If you really want to know how to use Cool 3D you might be interested in Travis Whites tutorial CD, Killer Graphics and Lower Thirds. You can get through Ulead or from Vasst Website. It is more for Cool3D Production Studio. But I think you could apply alot from it to Cool3D.

After selecting the B then on the same Attribute Pull-Down menu, go to Color or Texture. Then select what color or texture you want to apply. Now go back to the Bevel Attribute, select the T and return to the Color or to the Texture attribute, and set them...
Yes the Face Manager is one of the Panels. Go to View>Toolbar Manager and select Face Manager. It will be a skinny toolbar, that generally has 5 boxes representing the Faces of the 3D objects.

I would think there is a Face manager in Cool 3D. Without it you can't set different attributes for the objects. I'll have to look at the manual for it.
***EDIT***
I just d/l the manual for Cool 3D, in your version it's called the Geometric Toolbar.
No in the Attribute Panel go to Color or Texture. What you are doing is setting specific attributes for the object.
Is this something like your trying to accomplish:

I done a quick animated gif..

Ok, However what you're needing to do, can be done with your version. To find out how, if you don't have it already d/l the user manual, http://www.ulead.com/cool3d/documents.htm and go to page# 23 of the User Guide. The zip file will have 2 PDFs. The one you need to look at is the User Guide. That's what I've been referencing to help you...
It can be lenghy to try to explain how to do it, step by step...
